2008 BET Awards

Lifetime Achievement Award recipient the Rev. Al Green performs at the BET Awards on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at the the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Aside from the stirring tribute Green, T-Pain and Lil Wayne dominated the awards show with not only their energetic performances but their presence, despite winning just one trophy each.

Legendary American gospel and soul singer Al Green accepts his Lifetime Achievement Award from John Legend. Other highlights from the three-hour ceremony included a girl group reunion; performances by T-Pain and Lil Wayne; and a topless performance by ripped rapper Nelly.
