Ol' Blue Eyes' centennial
Fans of one of the past century's most celebrated singers, Frank Sinatra, have a rare opportunity to enjoy never-before-seen photos commemorating his legacy and celebrating the crooner's centennial birth year.
The official exhibition of the Frank Sinatra Centennial, "Sinatra: An American Icon," showcases 100 years of Sinatra's legacy . After opening at the New York Public Library earlier this year, it is now at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles through February 15, 2016, before traveling to Miami.
The Morrison Hotel Gallery Soho show, titled, "The Sinatra Experience," in March 2015, included rare and never-before-seen photographs from the Sinatra Family Archive, the Capitol Records and Warner Bros. Records archives as well as images from other notable photographers.

"Sinatra: An American Icon" traces Frank Sinatra's life from Hoboken, New Jersey, through superstardom, chronicling the meteoric rise of his music career, as well as his Hollywood success, personal life, and humanitarian work.
The exhibition features rare family photos, iconic clothes and accessories including Frank's signature fedora.

Throughout his six-decade career, Frank Sinatra performed on more than 1,400 recordings and was awarded 31 gold, nine platinum, three double platinum and one triple platinum album by the Recording Industry Association of America.

"This exhibition examines not only how and why Sinatra has such an iconic place in American musical history, but it will also look at the person behind the icon-- his family life, his childhood, and what it was like to know him personally," said exhibition curator Bob Santelli, Executive Director of The GRAMMY Museum.
