Penn Vet Hospital Earns Coveted Designation Of 'Veterinary Trauma Center'
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A local animal hospital has received a national honor.
Penn Vet's Ryan Hospital has been named one of just nine Veterinary Trauma Centers in the country, as well as the only 24/7 Veterinary Trauma Center within 100 miles of Philadelphia.

According to the hospital, the criteria for designation as a Veterinary Trauma Center includes the ability to provide total care for every aspect of management of small animal care and the availability of board-certified specialists for consultation seven days a week in the fields of emergency critical care, surgery and radiology.
