Delaware Valley Deals With Saturday's Snowfall
By Jericka Duncan
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Snow fell across the region Saturday, from Manayunk, where it seemed to come down at a rapid, snow globe pace, to Conshohocken where Chris Smith makes a living shoveling and removing snow from parking lots.
"Good money-maker," he said. "You know, it's the first one of the season, we're gonna go out and get going and it's about making money."
Just about everywhere you turned in the Delaware Valley you could see vehicles, branches and sidewalks covered in snow.
"Slippery as can be," Smith added. "It was actually pretty bad, I was shocked."

The roads were clear in some places and slick and unplowed in others.
"Last year was a great winter," this man said while he brushing snow off his car. "I do miss the snow. I don't mind it. I love it, it's great."
In Doylestown, Bucks County it was more of the same. The usually bustling downtown was quiet, with the exception of the sound of wet tires beating the slushy, cold ground.
And as usual, children had fun playing, laughing and sledding in the snow.
By evening, wet roads kept scrapers and snow shoes very busy, unlike some of the workers at the Willow Grove Mall.
"I think the snow slowed the business at the mall today slightly," Stevie Demain said, "but it was fine. As long as it's not icy I think you can get around."
Black ice is now a major concern as temperatures drop, so it's important to be extra cautious.
