Reports the 38-year-old woman was in her own driveway outside her home on 181st Street around 8 p.m. Saturday, waiting for her sister who was out buying pizza.
At the time, it was the third police-involved shooting in the city that week.
It happened just before 8 p.m. on a stretch of Hughes Avenue near 179th Street in the Crotona section.
Police say an argument turned violent just before 2 p.m. at 135th Street and Riverside Drive.
