Fire officials said it's another case of a lithium-ion battery from an e-bike causing a fire to erupt, CBS New York's Shosh Bedrosian reports.
Two people were hurt when an e-bike caught fire in the basement of a building Monday in the Bronx.
In a statement, Gov. Kathy Hochul said that the "large battery fire" had "caused significant damage and is emitting large amounts of smoke that may pose health risks."
