WCBS 880's Peter Haskell reports
Getting a computer not only brought Elender Foxe and her family into the 21st century, it changed their lives.
"Cause you know how it is when you don't have a computer," Foxe told WCBS 880 reporter Peter Haskell. "You have to go to the library... You run out of time."
The computer was given to her daughter, who is a middle school student.
It came from Per Scholas, a non-profit in the Bronx.
"Technology is not a nice thing to make sure everybody has. It's the right thing," Per Scholas president Plinio Ayala says.
Ayala said the computers are donated by individuals in corporations.
