Yonkers Police Dept. Investigates Breach Of City Computer Systems
YONKERS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - Police in Yonkers are investigating an unauthorized access of the city's computer system, WCBS 880's Paul Murnane reported.

The investigation is focused on Management Information Systems Department offices next door to city hall, where there is no outward sign of law enforcement on the job and the offices are sealed.
The Journal News reported that, on Friday, employees there were instructed to leave without their laptops, smartphones, and other portable hardware.
Christina Gilmartin, communications director for Mayor Mike Spano, said the investigation is in its preliminary stages and local police have reached out to an outside agency as part of the probe.
There was no comment on whether any one individual is the target of the probe.
The investigation was described as active and ongoing.
