10 Injured When Fire Truck, Casino Minibus Collide In Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Ten people were injured Wednesday evening when a fire truck and a minibus collided in Yonkers.
Around 6 p.m., the Yonkers fire truck crashed into the minibus at Yonkers and Kimball avenues, officials told CBS2. The minibus belonged to a nearby casino, officials said.
The fire truck was responding to a call from Yonkers Fire Station 13 at the time, officials said.
Six civilians – most of them elderly – and four firefighters were injured, officials said.
The injuries ranged from serious to minor, officials said.
