Yankees' Girardi On A-Rod, PED Probe: 'This Is In MLB's Hands'
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Joe Girardi says the Yankees will "cross that bridge" later if Major League Baseball suspends Alex Rodriguez for his reported link to a shuttered anti-aging clinic in Florida.
Biogenesis operator Anthony Bosch has reportedly agreed to cooperate with MLB's investigation into the clinic, which allegedly supplied performance-enhancing drugs to a number of baseball players.
MLB could suspend A-Rod for 100 games, according to ESPN.
"This is in MLB's hands," Girardi said before Wednesday's 6-4 win over Cleveland. "For me to speculate doesn't make a lot of sense."

Rodriguez, Milwaukee Brewers star Ryan Braun and Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli were among the players listed in the reported records of Biogenesis.
"My focus is not on what MLB is investigating and all of that," said Girardi. "I don't want to get caught up in that just because, in a sense, they're going to handle it. I'll let them handle it. I'll continue to assist our players in getting ready any way they can."
Rodriguez has denied all ties to Bosch and Biogenesis. He's rehabbing from offseason hip surgery and is expected to return to the Yankees sometime after the All-Star break.
Girardi has been in regular contact with A-Rod, but said he doesn't talk PEDs with his players.
"He's in Tampa getting ready," Girardi. "And that's what we want him to do."
The manager insisted he's not "privy" to any information regarding baseball's investigation.
"If you want to find out stuff you're going to have to talk to MLB," he said. "That doesn't come through my desk, it doesn't come to me. My job is to manage the guys in the clubhouse and I'll continue to do that."
MLB investigators are interviewing players at the center of the Biogenesis scandal. Union head Michael Weiner said in a statement Wednesday that the commissioner's office "has assured us that no decisions regarding discipline have been made or will be made until those interviews are completed."
Rodriguez is slated to earn $114 million over the final five years of his 10-year, $275 million deal.
