A-Rod On His Career: 'It's Been One Long Boo For 15 Years'
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Is A-Rod a hero or a villain?
Well that depends who you ask.
But coming off a season-long drug suspension, Alex Rodriguez has heard mostly cheers in the Bronx in 2015. It's been a bit of a different story in other ballparks.
On Wednesday in Detroit, before the Yankees crushed the Tigers 13-4 to get over .500, a reporter asked the 14-time All-Star how he feels about getting booed by opposing fans.

"I've been booed for 15 years, buddy," Rodriguez told Jeff Riger of 97.1 The Ticket in Detroit. "I don't know if you haven't been around. It's been one long boo for 15 years."
The 39-year-old has gotten off to a fast start for the Bombers. In 15 games he's hitting .265 (13-for-49) with three doubles, four homers and 11 RBIs. His on-base percentage is .419.
Asked if he relishes the boos, the three-time American League MVP gave an interesting answer.
"I don't know if I relish that," he told Riger. "Look, I've played for the New York Yankees. You want to be cheered at home and booed on the road."
Rodriguez is currently sitting on 658 career home runs, two behind Willie Mays for fourth on the all-time list. He's due a $6 million bonus when he reaches the milestone, though the Yankees reportedly don't want to pay it.
