Yankees-Guardians ALCS scores and game recaps
NEW YORK -- The New York Yankees defeated the Cleveland Guardians in the 2024 American League Championship Series.
The Yankees will play either the New York Mets or Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series.
New York, the American League East division champions, advanced to the ALCS after defeating the Kansas City Royals in the ALDS.
Yankees ALCS roster
The Yankees added first baseman Anthony Rizzo back to the roster for the AL Championship Series, just over two weeks after he was hit by a pitch and fractured two fingers.
New York also added right-hander Marcus Stroman, and dropped first baseman Ben Rice along with outfielder Duke Ellis.
