Fans Thrilled With Yankees One Win Away From World Series
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Excitement boiled over Wednesday night as the Yankees took Game 5 of the ALCS and found themselves one win away from a spot in the World Series.

As CBS2's Andrea Grymes reported, Yankee Stadium was electric Wednesday night. The Yankees now head back to Houston with tons of momentum after this game 5 victory.
The fans went nuts, screaming as they filed out of Yankee Stadium.
"Don't doubt us baby!" a fan said. "Yankees in six! Yankees in six!"
Fans were thrilled to see the Yankees take the lead in the ALCS.
"It was amazing -- 5-0 shutout; one of the best playoff games I've ever seen," another fan said.
"Best part of tonight, got to say, Gary Sanchez hitting that home run making it 5-nothing," another fan said.
"The Yankees are on fire and that's what it's all about," another fan said.
While the Yankees lost the first two games of the season in Houston, they came back to the Bronx to win three in a row at home.
"They said, 'You're down 2-0; you don't stand a chance,'" a fan said. "I said, 'What are you talking about?'"
"We're going straight to the World Series! Game 6 in Houston!" another fan said.
Before the game, die-hard fan Noel Ames talked about how he flew in for Wednesday night's big game from Buffalo.
He has loved the Yankees since he was 8 years old.
"I was a Thurman Munson fan playing Little League Baseball and he's my favorite Yankee player," Ames said.
And his favorite player now?
"You gotta love Aaron Judge," Ames said. "I think he's definitely a role model for kids. You don't see him swearing, throwing his bat, throwing his helmet. He walks off off the field, he does his job and always seems to do it with a smile on his face."
Joaquin Espinal came from the Dominican Republic in 1980 and fell in love with the Yankees and his hometown players.
"We have great players, we got Sanchez baby," said Espinal, who was lucky enough to see Tuesday night's game and is hoping to somehow get tickets to Game 5. "Yankees just represent America. Yankees are just the best team in the world."
Even some proud Mets fans are rooting for the Yankees.
"I'm going to go for the Yankees," Mets fan Anthony Rodriguez said. "I'm a New York guy, so gotta go for the Yankees."
