Wynonna Judd's Husband Loses Leg After Critical Motorcycle Crash, Concerts Postponed
Wynonna Judd and her husband Michael “Cactus” Moser were out riding their separate motorcycles on Saturday, August 18 when tragedy struck.
While riding along US Highway 16 in South Dakota, Moser crossed the center line and hit a car. According to the Associated Press, this wasn’t just a simple fender-bender either. Moser was seriously injured and airlifted by helicopter to Rapid City Regional Hospital.
After arriving at the hospital, TMZ learned that Moser's leg was severed in the crash and doctors determined it was necessary to amputate his leg above the knee. His injures are not life-threatening though they are severe.
The driver of the vehicle was not harmed and Judd was not involved in the collision either since she was riding ahead of Moser when it happened. In addition to losing his leg, the 55-year-old drummer was cited for not having a motorcycle license and for crossing the center line.
That evening Judd was scheduled to perform with her husband in Deadwood, but for obvious reasons, Judd cancelled the show.
The following day on Sunday, Judd gave a statement.
“The outpouring of prayer and support from friends, family and fans has been a blessing to both Cactus and I. Cactus is a champion. I love him deeply and I will not leave his side.”
The two lovebirds just tied the knot back in June and fans hope Moser has a speedy recovery. This incident also hit close to him for country artist James Otto who also rides motorcycles.

In the meantime, Judd is staying by Moser during his recovery process and all shows next week in Canada have been cancelled until further notice. To see Judd's tour schedule, click here.
