Workers Continue Long Beach Boardwalk Rebuilding In Deep Freeze
LONG BEACH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - There are some jobs that just have to be done outside, even in these frigid temperatures.
One of those jobs is rebuilding the boardwalk in Long Beach, which was destroyed by superstorm Sandy.
The men from the Long Island Contractors' Association are like Energizer bunnies. They keep going and going and going, and they have great attitudes.

WCBS 880 reporter Sophia Hall asked one of the worker Shawn Bolito if he dreads going to work in the cold.
"No. I love what I do. We have fun. A good bunch of guys. You know, get to work all day, support the family," he told her.
He said the key is to keep moving, otherwise you'll freeze.
Worker Michael Stumpf said he was wearing eight layers.
"Once you layer up, you're pretty good," he said.
"Standing here, talking to you, I'm getting cold. But you know," he joked.
They hope to have the new boardwalk ready by this summer.
