"Oh, it's a tremendous effort that had to go into cleaning up," said Woodland Park schools business administrator Tom Difluri.

He says it has been a $1 to $2 million cleanup.

"You know, we lost a gym floor. That had to be replaced. We lost a science lab," he told WCBS 880 reporter Levon Putney.

They've stripped the flooring down to concrete and had to clean to keep mold from growing, after about a foot of water flooded much of the building.

"We had to hire a large disaster recovery firm that even, as a matter of fact, did the cleanup at the Pentagon after 9/11," he said.

The work is expected to be done by tomorrow at which time officials will conduct air quality tests.

"Pending those results, as long as everything is okay, we will open this Monday," Difluri said.

One other school, the Beatrice Gilmore School, had basement flooding.
