Woman's Body Found In Queens Nature Preserve; Man Charged With Murder
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man has been charged with murder, after a woman's body was found Tuesday in a nature preserve near John F. Kennedy International Airport.
The body of Kadieann Chambers, 27, was found at 10:38 a.m. Tuesday in the Idlewild Park Preserve, near the junction of Craft Avenue and Huxley Street in Queens, police said.
Chambers, of the Jamaica section of Queens, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A suspect – Carlos Evelyn, 30 – also of Queens, has since been charged with second-degree murder, as well as intentional tampering with physical evidence.
Further details about Chambers' slaying and the allegations against Evelyn were not immediately available.
