Woman Thrown Off Plane For Singing Whitney Houston Songs
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - On a plane singing Whitney Houston? We have a problem.
A bizarre incident took place on board an American Airlines plane headed to John F. Kennedy International Airport from Los Angeles Friday.
A passenger started signing Whitney Houston's version of the Dolly Parton song "I Will Always Love You." The passenger wouldn't stop.
The pilot made an emergency landing in Kansas City, where air marshals met the plane.
"The woman was being disruptive and was removed from the plane for interfering with the flight crew," airport spokesman Joe McBride told CBS affiliate KCTV in Kansas City. "There was a federal air marshal on the aircraft, who subdued the woman and put her in cuffs and removed her from the plane."
The woman claimed to be a diabetic. She was not charged, but the airline refused to allow her back on the flight.
