CBS2 Exclusive: Woman Describes Horror Of Being Pushed Onto Bronx Subway Tracks
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A woman pushed onto the subway tracks in the Bronx was speaking out Monday evening.
Mareika Wray told CBS2 exclusively that she was returning home Friday night when she saw a suspicious-looking man on the elevated No. 4 train platform at the Kingsbridge Road and Jerome Avenue stop.
Wray, 18, said she walked by the man as she was waiting for the train. But the man attacked her from behind and pushed her onto the tracks before running away.
She said the man did not say anything and was just "talking to himself," and said she may have died if another man had not stepped in and pulled her up.
"He just came, like two hands, and just pushed me in there, and I was like, 'Oh my God,'" Wray said. "The train was going to come in three minutes so lucky thing the Spanish guy pulled me up in time so, if he didn't pull me up in time, I think by then, I would've probably been gone."
Wray was not seriously injured.
On Saturday, police arrested James Dolo, 39, at the station. He was being evaluated at an area hospital late Monday.
