Woman, Man Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide In Moonachie, N.J.
MOONACHIE, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A man and his girlfriend were killed Monday in an apparent murder-suicide in Moonachie, New Jersey, authorities said Monday.
Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli said the bodies of April Ellialtioglu, 33, and Jeff Scarpanito Jr., 34, were found shortly after 3 a.m. Monday in their Moonachie residence.
Authorities had gone there after getting a 911 call from another man who also lived at the home.
The bodies were found on the living room floor, and both Ellialtioglu and Scarpanito had apparent gunshot wounds to the head. Molinelli said it appears that Scarpanito shot Ellialtioglu to death and then killed himself.
Further details on the couple and their deaths have not been disclosed.
