Woman Killed, 2 Others Injured In West Babylon Fire
WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A woman was killed, and two others were injured, in a fire in Suffolk County Sunday afternoon.
Police responded at 4:35 p.m. to 1025-33 Little East Neck Rd., and found the woman's body inside an apartment at the address.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a Suffolk County Medical Examiner's office staffer, police said.
A second person was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, and a third to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. Both were treated and released, police said.
Several area fire departments responded to the scene and helped put out the fire, which damaged four apartments.
Police had not released the deceased woman's identity as of late Sunday night.
