Woman Injured In East Harlem Explosion Files $25M Lawsuit
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A woman who was injured in the gas explosion that rocked East Harlem in March has filed a $25 million lawsuit.
Kadeisha Joseph said on Saturday she was getting ready to shower when the blast threw her 20 feet, smacking her into a bathroom wall, the New York Post reported.

The 20-year-old said she now suffers from constant neck and back pain and has had to give up her job working with disabled children. Her attorney, Herb Subin, confirmed to CBS 2 that a lawsuit is being filed.
The sudden explosion rocked the East Harlem neighborhood just after 9:30 a.m. on March 12, bringing down two, five-story buildings that housed a church, a piano store and more than a dozen apartments.
Eight people were killed and at least 60 others were injured.
Though the National Transportation Board hasn't yet issued a final determination of what caused the blast, investigators have said they discovered a leak in a cast iron gas main, which was installed in 1887.
