Woman Found Strangled Along Route 22 Entrance Ramp In Newark
NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Newark police on Monday were investigating the strangulation of a 22-year-old woman whose body was found along a Route 22 entrance ramp.
The body of Chrismely A. Hidalgo, of Paterson, N.J., was found early Sunday at the entrance ramp to Route 22 West/Empire Street in Newark, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's office. She had been strangled, and was pronounced dead at 2:45 a.m. Sunday.
Hidalgo had been reported missing by family members on Saturday, police said.
Police and prosecutors were investigating Monday, and released no information about a motive or any possible suspects.
