Woman Fatally Struck By Tractor-Trailer In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A tractor-trailer truck fatally struck a 67-year-old woman early Wednesday in Brooklyn and fled the scene, police say.
It happened shortly before 4:50 a.m. at the intersection of Nostrand and Flatbush avenues in East Flatbush.
Police said first responders found the woman unconscious and unresponsive in the crosswalk area. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
The victim was attempting to cross the street when she was struck.
Police said they're searching for an 18-wheel flatbed tractor-trailer. It's unclear whether the driver realized the woman had been hit.
