Woman Charged After Allegedly Being Busted Burglarizing Home On Webcam
JERICHO, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A woman has been charged after a Long Island homeowner allegedly broke into his house while he was on vacation in China, only to get caught as he watched his home on a webcam.
Tian Yun Gao, 29, of Dix Hills, was charged with second-degree burglary, Nassau County police said.
Nassau County police came to the man's house and saw the woman running out the door, police said. Police chased her and caught her in the rear yard.
When the woman was arrested, she was carrying one of the cameras the man had installed in the house, police said.
A published report said the alleged burglar was the man's ex-girlfriend.
