Woman Badly Injured After Bicycle Slammed Into Her On Queensboro Bridge
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A woman is recovering in the hospital from a cracked skull, broken collarbone, and three fractured ribs after she was mowed down by a bicyclist on the Queensboro Bridge.
The Daily News reported that 52-year-old Lingbo Shen was walking on the pedestrian lane walking towards her Queens home on Thursday evening when she was hit.
Shen told the paper she was knocked unconscious, where she said she was left for hours before getting taken to the hospital.
The 25-year-old bicycle rider was also taken to New York Hospital following the crash. The cyclist, who has not been identified, told police he was riding downhill when he careened into Shen.
The 52-year-old research analyst at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan told the Daily News she does not know how she got to the hospital and does not know how long she will be there for.
Shen said she gets dizzy every time she tries to stand, according to the Daily News.
The Daily News reported the no summonses were issued against the bike rider.
