Wings Of "Miracle On The Hudson" Jet Headed To North Carolina
HARRISON, NJ (CBSNewYork) -- A part of the "Miracle on the Hudson" jet is on the move.
The wings of the US airways jet piloted safely into the Hudson River by Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger are heading south.
The wings, which have been in storage in Harrison, are due to arrive Thursday at the Carolinas Aviation Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The plane's fuselage was delivered there in June.
"It'll be kind of like the Airbus factory tour for about four months in the museum," said museum president Sean Dorsche. "And it'll eventually be reassembled and look like it did when it came out of the water."

Charlotte was the original destination of the plane before it hit a flock of geese shortly after taking off from Laguardia Airport, forcing Sullenberger to land the plane in the Hudson River on Jan. 15, 2009.
All 155 people aboard survived.
