Willie Nelson Asks For Help In Finding Stolen Stuffed Armadillo
PORT CHESTER, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A missing stuffed armadillo with a connection to Willie Nelson has sparked a search in Westchester County.
After Nelson had performed last Thursday at the Capitol Theater, at 149 Westchester Ave. in Port Chester, someone took the stuffed armadillo from the backstage sound desk, according to Nelson's Facebook page.
The toy armadillo belonged to Aaron Foye, Nelson's motor engineer. Capitol Theater manager Tom Bailey said the critter is known as "Ol' Dillo."
Nelson's Facebook page featured a grainy video, which shows a woman walking onto the stage as the crew packs up, grabbing the armadillo, and walking off with it.
"Did you go to the show? Did you work the show? Help us find the WOMAN in this video who stole him," Nelson's Facebook page said.
A commenter responded, "We hang armadillo thieves in Texas."
