NYPD: Man Steals More Than $10,000 In Watches From Queens Hallmark Store
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Thirty watches with a total value of more than $10,000 were stolen from a Hallmark store in Whitestone, Queens in late September, police say.
According to the NYPD, a man entered the Cross Island Parkway location at around 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 28, removed a key from the register and removed the watches from a display case.
The suspect then put the watches into a black backpack and left the store, police said.
The NYPD describes the suspect as man standing 5'10" tall and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark blue baseball hat, a plaid shirt and blue jeans.
