That's how his new business GiveBack.org got started.
"It really makes everybody, the ordinary man or woman on the street, a philanthropist," says Paletta. "It is this personal gratification where you can see the impact that you're having."
While you can put money into your foundation and others can donate, the web page also collects a portion of the money you spend at certain stores and puts it in your foundation for you to donate.
"I could tell you a million reasons why it's so good to give, but I think at the end of the day, it comes down to one simple thing. It feels really good when you give and you give back and you make a difference," says Paletta.
Also on the site is 100 Days of Giving campaign where you could win a $1,000 daily prize or $50,000 grand prize for your foundation.
