Westchester Ahead Of Schedule On Affordable Housing
WHITE PLAINS, NY (WCBS 880) - Westchester County officials say they are a year and a half ahead of schedule on the federal housing desegregation settlement.

County Executive Rob Astorino says 104 affordable units have been approved in Cortland, Yorktown, and Rye City.
"... and that puts us past this year's benchmark," Astorino told WCBS 880 reporter Catherine Cioffi.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development mandated that the county have a hundred units approved by December 2011.
Astorino says, "We're working very hard on this."
