West New York Cops Make $1 Million Drug Bust
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) - An early morning bust on Sunday uncovered a drug manufacturing and packaging facility in West New York, NJ.
WCBS 880's Levon Putney reports eight pounds of heroin, with a street value of $1 million, was being processed. On the second floor of the Washington Street home, a sophisticated marijuana growing operation was underway.

"It actually came about through an anonymous call," said Police Director Al Bringa. "There was narcotics throughout the entire first floor on tables. There was paraphernalia and as you can see some of the larger bags."
Five men were arrested and being held in the Hudson County jail. One man was local, the other four were from the Bronx and Manhattan.
This is the largest drug bust in the town's history and Mayor Sal Vega is thankful for the anonymous tip.
"It's the community coming together to make sure we take care of our town," said Vega.
