Wes Welker: Patriots QB Tom Brady 'Toughest Metrosexual I've Ever Come Across'
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- For the uninitiated, that huge UGG apparel painting outside Penn Station doesn't feature just any male model.
That's the universally despised -- in New York, at least -- quarterback of the New England Patriots, Tom Brady, whose bloody mug Sunday would have been a shock to those who only know him as supermodel Gisele Bundchen's husband.
And in the NFL, that's fair game for some good-natured locker room zingers.
"He's such a good-looking guy," Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker said on Monday, according to the Boston Herald. "Obviously, he gets banged up, and he's probably the toughest metrosexual I've ever come across."
Brady's face was bloodied after a sack from Titans defensive end Kamerion Wimbley in the second quarter of Sunday's 34-13 win over Tennessee.
"I need some scars," Brady joked after the game.
Welker said Brady "doesn't know" and "doesn't care" whether his nose is broken. Meanwhile, the Patriots quarterback didn't seem to concerned about what he described as a scratch on his sniffer.
"It doesn't look pretty, but it probably looks a lot worse than it feels," Brady told WEEI radio in Boston. "Logan (Mankins) played on a torn ACL last year, so I figured I can play with a scratched nose."
