Crews Repair Water Main Break In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- A major water main that ruptured in part of Brooklyn Tuesday morning has since been capped.
Water began gushing out of the 12-inch main from 1941 just after 5 a.m., flooding streets in the Sunset Park section.
Basements in the immediate area were getting flooded. Partial street closures will last thoughout the day while repairs are made.
No customers are without water.
The main broke on 36th Street between 37th Street and Third Avenue.
