WATCH: Yankees Fans Boo Picture Of Cano, But Not ACTUAL Cano
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano is hoping for a "good standing ovation" at Yankee Stadium when he returns to the Bronx for the first time as a visiting player on Tuesday.
More realistically, the five-time All-Star who played for the Bombers from 2005 until last year will hear plenty of boos every time he steps up to the plate.
But here's the real question: Would Yankees fans boo the slugger to his face?
That was put to the test on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."
A handful of Yankees fans were given the opportunity to boo a cardboard cutout of Cano. And boo they did. Until the 2009 World Series champion walked out from behind the cutout. Suddenly, New Yorkers had nothing but love for the ex-Yankee.
The reactions are nothing short of priceless.
In his first season in Seattle, Cano -- who signed a 10-year, $240 million contract with the M's in the offseason -- is batting .301 with a homer and 11 RBIs in 93 at-bats.
