WATCH: Mets Fan Eludes Citi Field Security For Nearly 45 Seconds
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Thanks to modern technology, we can now dissect poor fan behavior in multiple angles.
There's certainly no shortage of video on YouTube of the fan who ran onto the Citi Field grass on Wednesday, delaying the Mets' 6-5 win over the Cardinals for over a minute.
In the top of the sixth inning, the fan sprinted into the outfield and eluded four security guards for nearly 45 seconds. A fifth guard came running in while the tackle was being made.
"That guy's in shape," said SNY analyst Keith Hernandez.
His conditioning waned as the gassed fan pulled up not far from potential trade bait Carlos Beltran. The Citi Field crowd -- minus one -- cheered heartily once the catch-me-if-you-can show had run its course.
