IRVINGTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police have issued an arrest warrant for four people in connection with a shooting that killed a store owner this past weekend.
Warrants were issued for four suspects from Newark. Carnel Colbett, 22, and a 17-year-old juvenile, already have been arrested, while brothers Ivery Brinson, 26; and Shakil Brinson, 26, remained at large Wednesday, police said.
They are facing murder, robbery, carjacking and weapons-related charges.
Narendrak Patel, 52, was working behind the counter of the Irvington Mini Market when the suspects entered the store shortly before 5 p.m. this past Saturday and apparently tried to rob the store.
The slaying is the eighth homicide recorded in the Essex County community this year. There were nine killings in Irvington in 2012.
