Wake Being Held For Fire Official Steven Mosiello Who Worked At WTC Site
FARMINGDALE, NY (WCBS 880/AP) -- A wake will be held Sunday and Monday in Farmingdale for a 9/11 first-responder who died Friday after a long battle with cancer.

He was a fire marshall, one of the first on the scene at the World Trade Center on September 11. Steven Mosiello, 58, died of cancer of the esophagus, believed to be linked to the time he spent at Ground Zero.
Mosiello was with the fire department for 23 years. He received multiple medals for his work and retired in September of 2002.
He was a senior aide to Chief Peter Ganci, who died in the collapse of the south tower.
Al Hagan of the Uniformed Fire Officers Association called Mosiello "a dedicated firefighter and fire marshal who gave the better part of his adult life to the city of New York.''
His wake is being held at the McCourt and Trudden Funeral Home in Farmingdale.
