Waitress Facing Murder Charge After Stabbing At Brooklyn Restaurant
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A waitress is facing a murder charge stemming from a stabbing at a Brooklyn restaurant, according to police.
Lan Shui Yu has been charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a knife in connection with a dispute that killed Jian-Yang Zhang, 41, police said.
The NYPD says Zhang was found stabbed in the back and neck Monday night outside the Lucky Zhang Family restaurant, a 24-hour eatery serving Fuijanese cuisine, on 8th Avenue in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn.
The New York Times reports that police say Zhang was visiting his sister's restaurant when an argument turned violent.
Yu was later arrested at her home, about 250 feet away from the restaurant.
There was no immediate information on an attorney who could comment on the defendant's behalf.
