Vigil Held In Brooklyn For Boston Marathon Victims
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- U.S. Rep. Michael Grimm (R-N.Y.) held a candlelight vigil in Brooklyn Sunday evening for the victims of the Boston Marathon attacks.
The vigil was held Sunday evening at Caesar's Bay in southern Brooklyn, WCBS 880's Jim Smith reported.
In front of a spectacular sunset, a diverse group of people held candles and bowed their heads and prayer "to represent those who cannot speak for themselves; those who have died," a spiritual leader said.
Some held pictures of the victims, while others held signs reading, "Boston strong."

"We want them to know that New York stands with them, and that as days go by, we will not forget," Grimm said.
Community members from different walks of life gathered together, Grimm said, posing a united front against terrorism.
"There's one flag today," Grimm said, "the American flag."
And as light faded to darkness, the candles became more visible.
"People come together when you have to, regardless," one attendee said.
Three people were killed and scores were injured in twin bombings at the Boston Marathon this past Monday. An MIT Police officer was also killed in a shootout with the suspects three days later.
Suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, was arrested this past Friday, and remained hospitalized Sunday night. He has not been charged, and sources have questioned whether he will ever be able to speak again following the wounds he suffered when he was captured.
Fellow suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, was killed in a shootout with police overnight Thursday into Friday.
