Vigil Held In Boston Common In Honor Of Marathon Bombing Victims
BOSTON (CBSNewYork) - Hundreds gathered in downtown Boston to sing and reflect in honor of the victims of the marathon bombing.
"We need to prove how strong we are against whatever this is," one woman told WCBS 880's Alex Silverman.
Those at the vigil are holding candles, hugging and singing, Silverman reported.

Mourners have been writing messages on a banner reading "Boston You're Our Home" hanging in the Boston Common.
"Adversity makes people realize what they're made of and I think people here already know they're made of some really special stuff," one woman told Silverman.
President Obama is due to visit Boston on Thursday to attend an interfaith vigil for the victims of the attack, the White House announced.
An 8-year-old boy, a 29-year-old Mass. native and a Boston University graduate student were killed in the bombings.
