NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A massive crane collapse in Tribeca claimed the life of a man and injured at least three others Friday morning.
Mayor Bill de Blasio said workers were moving the crawler crane into a secure position when it fell around 8:30 a.m. on Worth Street near Church Street. He said a full investigation is underway.
The crane landed on several parked cars, crushing their roofs. Video from the scene shows mangled metal and debris strewn across at least two city blocks. Part of the crane could be seen wedged up against a building.
