Brooklyn-Bound Verrazano Bridge Snagged By Multi-Vehicle Accident
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A multi-vehicle accident clogged Brooklyn-bound lanes on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge late Monday afternoon.
As Joe Biermann reported from Chopper 2, the upper level on the eastbound side of the bridge was shut down around 1:30 p.m. due to a multi-vehicle accident with a fuel spill.

The left lane was also closed on the Staten Island-bound side, Biermann reported.
As of 5 p.m., crews were still working to clean up glass and other debris on the roadway and tow a couple of damaged vehicles.
Information about injuries was not immediately available.
