Police: Valley Stream Man Bound By Duct Tape In Armed Robbery
VALLEY STREAM, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Nassau County police are searching for a suspects who allegedly attacked a 34-year-old man in front of his Long Island home before breaking into his residence.
According to police, the victim was approached by two suspects as he was leaving his Valley Stream home at around 7:10 a.m. Monday morning. The suspects allegedly asked for his gold chain before restraining the victim with duct tape and taking him back inside his home, police said.
The suspects proceeded to ransack the residence, taking an undetermined amount of money and some jewelry, police said.
During the incident, one of the suspects carried a black handgun, while another was carrying a rifle inside a duffel bag, police said.
A 36-year-old woman was also in the house at the time of the attack, police said.
There were no reported injuries.
Police described one suspect as 6' tall with a slim build, and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and boots, with a face mask covering his mouth. The other suspect is described as 5' 7" with a medium build with a similar outfit, police said.
