Police Shoot, Kill Pit Bull That Attacked Smaller Dog In Upper Manhattan
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police shot and killed a pit bull in Fort George Wednesday evening, after the animal attacked a smaller dog.
Police were alerted around 7:30 p.m., when the large pit bull attacked the small dog on Hillside Avenue near Sickles Street.
Officers found the attack in progress and shot and killed the pit bull, police said.
The smaller dog could not be saved and also died, police said.
There were no injuries to civilians or officers.
