Police: Woman Wanted In Series Of Holdups In Upper Manhattan, The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a woman who they said is wanted in a series of holdups in Upper Manhattan and the Bronx.

The most recent incident happened around 9:30 p.m. on Sept 29.

Police said the woman, armed with a gun, walked into a bodega on Thayer Avenue and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect took off with unknown amount of cash, police said.

No one was hurt.

A day earlier, police said she walked into TNT Deli Grocery on Kingsbridge Road in the Bronx, pulled out a gun and demanded money. She then took off with $300 in cash, police said.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspect from the Bronx incident. Investigators describe her as a black woman between the ages of 25 and 30, about 5'6" tall with a slender build.
