Union City School Kids Have A Lot To Be Thankful For
UNION CITY, N.J.(CBSNewYork) -- For many families Thanksgiving is the best holiday of the year, there's food, fun, and the little ones love it.
After the Thanksgiving play at St. Augustine's School in Union City, N.J. fourth graders told CBS 2's Cindy Hsu that they had plenty to be thankful for.
"I'm thankful for family, friends, and food," Andrew Ta said.
Maria Jose was thankful for all of the things that her family had given her.
"A good education and a good life," she said.
Outside of the classroom Charles Green, 13, offered a simple explanation.
"Be close with your family and be thankful for everything that you have," he said.
For Aodhan Gallagher it was all about family and "the city".
"It's filled with a bunch of places that are really awesome like the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Penn Station, Grand Central Station," he said.
For most students at the school family was at the top of their list of things to be thankful for, they left CBS 2's Hsu with a big Happy Thanksgiving.
