Unemployment Benefits For New Yorkers Set To Expire
NEW YORK (CBS 2/WCBS 880) – Nearly 200,000 New Yorkers could lose their jobless benefits as emergency benefits are set to expire next month.
Congress will have to move quickly if it wishes to help the unemployed as the holiday season approaches.
Republicans in Congress want as much as $6 billion a month in spending cuts before they'll approve more unemployment funding.
