UConn Gives All Clear Following Bomb Threat To Admissions Building
STORRS, Conn. (CBSNewYork) -- Classes have resumed at the University of Connecticut after a bomb threat called into the school prompted an evacuation Thursday morning.
The call came into the Tasker Building, also known as the admissions building, on the university's Storrs campus around 9:12 a.m., UConn said on its website.

Within minutes, the building was evacuated, the school said.
For about the next two hours, the school also urged people across the campus to shelter in place after the school said "further investigation confirmed that the threat may have involved a firearm."
It also asked any students, faculty and staff traveling to the Storrs campus to stay away until further notice.
Police later determined the threat wasn't credible after doing a sweep of the building and investigating the call, the school said. Classes eventually resumed around 12:30 p.m.
In the statement on the school's website, UConn said "campus safety is our first priority and all threats are taken seriously."
Police said they know who the caller is, but have not announced it publicly. UConn said anyone with information about the threat should contact UConn police at 860-486-4800.
