Tyler Clementi's Family To Visit George Washington Bridge For First Time Since Suicide
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- When a group walking from Chicago to raise awareness about bullying reaches the George Washington Bridge on Sunday, the parents and brother of Tyler Clementi will join them.
As 1010 WINS' Al Jones reported, it will be the first time Clementi's parents and brother will visit the site where the Rutgers freshman jumped to his death three years ago.
"I definitely think there will be a lot of memories and reminders," said James Clementi, Tyler's brother. "It just made a lot of sense, especially since the Friend Movement is walking in honor of my brother's memory."

Clementi was a victim of cyberbullying. The 18-year-old committed suicide in 2010 after he learned that two students recorded him on a webcam kissing another man and invited others to watch the stream.

Two members of the Friend Movement are walking 921 miles to bring attention to bullying.
"Our destination was never New York City. Our destination was the George Washington Bridge," said Elliot London of the Friend Movement. "Because we wanted to dedicate this journey of 921 miles to this incredible individual, Tyler Clementi."
James Clementi said that allegations this week about the bullying of Miami Dolphins football player Jonathan Martin proves that much work still must be done to prevent such harassment.
"In light of what happened to my brother, a lot of people make excuses rather than accept responsibility," Clementi said. "And there is a lot of victim blaming that goes on."
